Dr. Uzma Porché
Dr. Porché grew up in Hammond. She received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from LSU and earned her medical degree from LSU Medical School in New Orleans. She went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee with a specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Porché completed her internship and residency in Memphis as well.
Dr. Porché specialties include:
- General Obstetrics and Gynecology
- High Risk Obstetrics
- Infertility management
- In-Office Surgical Procedures, including ablation and Essure ® permanent birth control
- Minimally invasive surgery
- Robotic-assisted gynecologic surgery, a more effective, less invasive treatment alternative to a traditional hysterectomy
- Preconception counseling
- Preventative Health Maintenance
She is certified by and/or a member of: The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Dr. Porché and her husband, Derek – who is originally from Lake Charles, moved back to Lake Charles to raise their family. The couple has one son, Aden. In her spare time, Dr. Porché enjoys cooking food from different cultures, learning about health and fitness, LSU football, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Porché encourages potential and current patients to come by and say, “hello.” She wants to take care of you like family.
Lynda Riché, CFNP, RN
Lynda is from Lake Charles. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in nursing from McNeese State University. She is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health. She is a board certified family nurse practitioner. Lynda also has training as an operating room nurse as well as in post-anesthesia care.
Lynda has been on several medical missionary trips to Honduras, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. She enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her family. Interesting fact: before her medical career, Lynda was a flight attendant.
