Dr. Porché encourages yearly examinations which include a breast exam, Pap smear, and bloodwork if needed. Rules on Pap smears do vary by insurance, so it would be in your best interest to speak with them, however Dr. Porché would still like to see you annually for breast examinations and a pelvic exam without a Pap if it is not a year your insurance recommends doing it or as recommended by the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) guidelines.
